The Climate Security Mechanism at the UN and UNSSC, with the support of Berghof Foundation, present Climate, Crisis, and Courage – a podcast series that brings the realities of climate-related security risks to life.

From the UN Security Council in New York, to the African Union in Addis Ababa and COP30 in Brazil, the Climate, Peace and Security Agenda is playing an ever more important role. At times, the voices and stories of those most affected are drowned out by policy debates and conference room discussions. This, human-centred podcast series bridges that divide, shining a spotlight on the voices of practitioners and community voices.

At its core, this podcast weaves together powerful stories of climate, peace and security from the perspective of those living and working where the impacts are felt every day. You will hear directly from advisors, practitioners, local partners and community voices, about how climate stressors disrupt livelihoods, fuel tensions, or drive migration – and how communities are finding ways to adapt, prevent conflict, and build peace.

Across six episodes, the series will help you connect the dots between the global and the local: from international policy discussions to regional cooperation to the lived experiences of communities on the frontlines.

Tune in for accessible, engaging, and thought-provoking conversations.
