The Summer Research Programme on the UN Innovation Toolkit is a joint initiative launched by UNSSC, and the IE University School of Global and Public Affairs, as part of a broader alliance formed in early 2020.

For the academic year 2020/2021, the Summer Research Programme was oriented to document the mainstreaming and lessons learned of the UN Innovation Toolkit for its iteration and contextualization in two organizations leading innovation in the UN - the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO,) as well as Accenture, a leading innovator in the private sector, to help us ascertain the cross-sector similarities and differences in mainstreaming innovation.
The programme entailed a phase of research planning, data collection and analysis and concluded with the submission of 5 research papers.
