In March 2026, UNSSC hosted an exclusive session as part of its course on Partnerships, Financing and Resource Mobilization for Sustainable Development.

Drawing on the expertise of Darian Stibbe, from The Partnering Initiative and lead author of the United Nations' SDG Partnership Guidebook, this session takes participants through identifying, building and maintaining effective partnerships. Centering around SDG 17, "Partnerships for the Goals," the session explores the growing importance of multistakeholder partnerships, the mindset shifts required to engage with others openly, and the art of negotiation in partnership-building.

As Stibbe puts it: "Partnerships are not about 'you', it is about you collectively."
