Yahya Qanie

Yahya Qanie is a social entrepreneur, researcher and policy advocate working at the intersection of international peace and security, inclusive governance, and AI for good: civic technology.  

He is currently a Fellow at Search for Common Ground, where his work focuses on research, strategy and innovation in Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) and broader intergenerational governance.  

He led the development of the YPS AI Agent and co-authored "Building the Alternative," a 2026 global study of Gen Z-led movements, with Saji Prelis.  

Yahya holds a Master of Science in Global Affairs, with a specialization in Transnational Security, from the Center for Global Affairs at New York University.
