Michela Berta
Michela Berta is an Associate Fellow at the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC), where she provides technical expertise on the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda and contributes to the integration of a YPS lens into peace and security processes and programmes through learning and capacity development initiatives.
Her work focuses primarily on the design, coordination and delivery of YPS-focused learning programmes for United Nations (UN) personnel and partners, supporting the application of YPS principles across policy and operational contexts within the UN system. In addition, she contributes to broader youth-related learning programmes, drawing on inclusive and participatory approaches to strengthen meaningful youth engagement.
Prior to joining UNSSC, Michela worked with the Youth Cooperation Programme at the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe and with the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York, where she contributed to the work of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly.
Michela holds a Master’s degree in International Sciences, with a specialization in Human Rights and Middle East and North Africa Politics, from the University of Turin.
