Manuela Carbone
Manuela Carbone is a Programme Assistant at the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC). Since 2004, she has supported hundreds of high-level workshops and interventions, including the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General’s Retreats in Turin. Her tenure is defined by a blend of operational excellence, client-orientation and strategic vision, particularly in her more recent role as the focal point for 360-degree Assessments and Executive Coaching.
Since 2020, Manuela has spearheaded a remarkable 500% growth in the Staff College’s assessment and coaching portfolio. By helping with the design, development and administration of robust frameworks and managing an extensive, world-class pool of coaches, she has transformed these services into a thriving, system-wide resource used across the UN at large. Her work ensures that leadership development is both evidence-based and deeply transformative.
Manuela’s expertise is rooted in a lifelong passion for "bridging worlds." In her earlier career as an editorial translator, she translated seminal works of history and philosophy, presenting them alongside authors at major international book fairs. This background in precise communication informs her current work as an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-certified Executive Coach and an accredited practitioner in DiSC, Belbin®, and The Five Behaviors®.
Manuela graduated in Translation from both the École de Traduction et d’Interprétation at Université de Genève and the Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna. Holding a Master’s degree in Humanistic Coaching and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Manuela’s commitment to service extends to her community, having served on the Executive Board of the Turin Alzheimer’s Association (2009–2017).
