Lorri Sulpizio
Lorri Sulpizio is the Director of the Conscious Leadership Academy at the University of San Diego. She is also the founder of the Center for Women's Leadership at USan Diego and also the co-founder and principal consultant at the Lotus Leadership Institute. She is a certified leadership coach, who has taught both graduate and undergraduate level courses in leadership. Particularly, she is a certified Dare to Lead™ facilitator, based on the research of Brené Brown.
Her research and thematic areas focus on gender dynamics - specifically women, voice, and power; application of group relations theory to the practice of leadership and building effective teams; authenticity and the balanced sense of self in building effective leadership. Another key work area is mental strength and team cohesion in an athletic setting – as Lorri herself started her career as a college basketball coach and fitness professional.
She is the author of many articles, books and publications that draw on her extensive research.
She is also a certified practitioner in the Leadership Circle Profile, the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator, DiSC, and Firo-B, and believes that using data is a useful first step in helping people begin to realize their leadership potential.
