Josefine Roos
Josefine Roos is the Director of Adapt Peacebuilding, where she designs and delivers training, facilitation and coaching programmes for organizations working in fragile and conflict-affected settings. She developed the United Nations System Staff College's (UNSSC) course on conflict sensitivity and has been delivering it both online and in person since 2021.
Throughout her career, Josefine has lived and worked in countries undergoing transitions, including Myanmar, Colombia, Honduras, Ethiopia and South Sudan. She has played a central role in establishing conflict sensitivity hubs in Myanmar with Collaborative Learning Projects, in Honduras with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and in Ethiopia, where Adapt Peacebuilding partners with Mercy Corps and the Rift Valley Institute. She also served as an expert trainer for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Women's Peace Leadership Programme, designing leadership curriculum for women mediators across multiple cohorts.
A certified coach through the International Coaching Federation and a certified mediator through the New York Peace Institute, Josefine holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of St Andrews.
