Jón Thorsteinsson

Mr Thorsteinsson is the Deputy Treasurer in IFAD’s Treasury Division.

Mr. Thorsteinsson joined IFAD in September 2019 from the Nordic Investment Bank, where he served for 21 years in different positions in the Treasury, completing his tenure as Senior Director of Portfolio Management. Prior to joining the Nordic Investment Bank, he served as FX options dealer in Postipankki (currently Danske Bank Finland).

Mr. Thorsteinsson holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration, and is a CFA Charter holder from the CFA Institute.
