Grace Kirugumi
Grace is an Associate Fellow at United Nations System Staff College, where she supports the design and delivery of knowledge management products and training programmes aligned with sustainable development. In this role, she has contributed to programmes on urban resilience, circular economy, and resilient infrastructure to address the triple planetary crises. She is deeply committed to advancing climate action through inclusive, community centred, and integrated approaches.
Grace brings international experience from the UN, NGOs, and local governments in Kenya and Germany. Her previous work spans disaster risk management in informal settlements, urban spatial planning, and research on climate change adaptation.
She holds a master's degree in Regional Development Planning from the Technical University of Dortmund in Germany, with a specialization in Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Spatial Planning from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University in Kenya.
