Gillian Mehers
Gillian Martin Mehers is a learning and capacity development practitioner and a Certified Professional Facilitator, Master designation (CPF-M) from the International Association of Facilitators, and has worked within the global sustainability community for over 25 years. She has designed and run hundreds of workshops and training courses on a broad range of sustainability and development topics internationally from Armenia to Zambia, and has trained facilitators in Africa, Europe and Asia, and run training-of-trainers programmes globally. Gillian is currently Founding Director at Bright Green Learning (Atadore Sàrl).
Previously she was Head of Learning and Leadership at IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature – Switzerland) and Director of Capacity Development at LEAD International (Leadership for Environment and Development – New York and London), and Project Manager at the International Labour Office (Geneva). Gillian’s expertise is in creating dynamic experiential learning environments, facilitating productive multi-stakeholder dialogue processes, interactive learning design, and innovative curriculum and training materials development. Gillian has won two IAF Awards for Facilitation Impact and is co-author with Dennis Meadows and Linda Booth-Sweeney of the Climate Change Playbook (Chelsea Green, 2016).
