Erik Andermo
Erik works as Development Coordination Officer and Economist in the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia, where his primary responsibilities include analysis and coordination of the economic development portfolio of the UN Country Team. He has also worked extensively on conflict-related issues within the UNCT. Erik holds a Master’s degree in International Economics from Stockholm School of Economics. Prior to joining the UN he worked as an analyst and researcher in macroeconomic and international affairs, most recently at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs and earlier for the Swedish government. He has previously worked at the Swedish embassy in Russia and in the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia. He also has extensive experience from the private sector and has worked for ten years as a Russian interpreter, including within the Open Skies arms control treaty. Erik is married and has a son and a daughter.
