Dámaris Herrera Salazar
Dámaris Herrera Salazar is a development practitioner and researcher working at the intersection of sustainable development, climate and peace. Dámaris spent over five years at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Peru, where she worked on economic inclusion and poverty reduction initiatives supporting women, youth, Indigenous and rural communities across the Amazon Rainforest. Her work combined policy design, research, partnerships and programme implementation. She has also collaborated with research institutions including the University of Melbourne, University College London and the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
Dámaris is currently pursuing a Master of International Affairs at Columbia University, concentrating in Development and Governance, and serves as an Impact & Climate Programme Associate Intern at the MESA Institute for Global Impact.
