Aida Ghazaryan
<p>Aida Ghazaryan comes from Armenia and is the Learning Portfolio Manager responsible for training, learning and knowledge management at UNSSC’s Knowledge Centre for Leadership and Management .In previous assignments with UNSSC, she has served as the Learning Portfolio Manager for the Peace and Security Team in Turin (Italy), and the Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development in Bonn (Germany). In these roles she has been responsible for learning and training in the areas of peace and security and sustainable development.</p>
<p> Aida brings a wealth of experience from various roles within the UN. In the last 17 years, she has worked with UNFPA and UNDP at the country and regional levels with a strong focus on Eastern Europe and the Central Asia region. Prior to joining UNSSC, she worked as Programme Specialist on Gender at United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Sub-regional office in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Her work has ranged from gender issues, women’s rights, reproductive health and rights, disability rights, trafficking in human beings, as well as country programming both at country and regional level. She is an International Policy Fellow with the Open Society Institute & Center for Policy Studies in Hungary, and holds a BA in Teaching English from Syracuse University (NY, USA), an MA in Human Rights from Central European University (Budapest, Hungary), and an MA in Philology from Yerevan State University (Yerevan, Armenia).</p>
