What does it take to transform expected outcomes into realistic plans, resources, and execution?

Across the UN, results‑based management frameworks help define what teams are aiming to achieve — but it’s project managers who turn those expectations into scopes, timelines, risk responses, and daily delivery. This session looks at how project managers can translate broad outcome statements into concrete decisions that shape how a project actually unfolds.

At the same time, project managers need to balance different project elements that may compete, overlap, or come into tension with one another. This conversation will reflect on how one can keep these essential practices at the center of their work — ensuring that expected results aren’t just written down but truly delivered.

Join us for the next session of Project Management Conversations series, featuring Owen Edwards—who was leading the design and delivery of United Nations Development Programme’s Results-Based Management Strategy and is currently the Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at International Fund for Agricultural Development.

The session will include a live interview, audience Q&A, and a peer networking segment.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. CET (check event time in other time zones). Interested participants are invited to register. The event is free of charge, and confirmed participants will receive the meeting invitation and connection details by email closer to the event date. Please note that the number of seats is limited, and early registration is strongly encouraged.
