Pablo Espiniella

Pablo Espiniella is a human rights expert whose career has been shaped by a long standing commitment to advancing equality, inclusion and global justice. From his early academic years, he developed a deep interest in international experiences and in dismantling the barriers that perpetuate exclusion. His professional and academic journey has taken him across the world, including Thailand, Nepal, Myanmar, the Maldives, Colombia and Guatemala.

With more than two decades of experience, Pablo has worked over 20 years with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR) and served as a Human Rights Specialist at the World Bank. His work spans human rights law, sustainable development and the protection of vulnerable communities.

He is also an educator, serving as a visiting professor in several international university programmes, including the Master in International Development at IE University. His teaching and research focus on migrant rights as well as the prevention of all forms of violence against children and the protection of Indigenous peoples’ rights.
