Monique Touchstone
Monique Touchstone is an Associate Fellow at the UN System Staff College (UNSSC) Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development, where she works at the intersection of communications, learning, and global impact. She designs capacity-building programmes that empower UN communicators to advance the Sustainable Development Goals, respond to global crises, and foster meaningful connections across the UN system.
Monique is passionate about communicating for climate action and combating mis- and disinformation—two of today's most urgent challenges. With an MSc in Strategic and Corporate Communications from the University of Amsterdam, she mapped strategies used by international organizations to address these issues, and she now helps UN communicators navigate a rapidly evolving information landscape.
Holding a dual B.A. in Political Science and Sociology, Monique’s early career in public affairs and advocacy was fueled by a deep commitment to driving positive change. From contributing to social policy campaigns on reproductive health, education affordability, and labor rights, to conducting media monitoring for a major U.S. presidential campaign, Monique has always been motivated by the opportunity to create real, measurable impact.
