Min Ji Song

Min Ji Song is a Political Affairs Officer in the Policy and Mediation Division of the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), where she leads the Innovation Cell in New York. Her work focuses on applied digital methods for inclusion, analysis and preventive diplomacy, exploring how open-source data, machine learning and generative AI can strengthen political analysis while preserving impartiality, credibility and analytical rigour.

Her portfolio spans data platforms for conflict analysis, strategic foresight, and large-scale digital dialogues across more than 20 field presences, alongside partnerships with academia, technology labs and interdisciplinary practitioners. Prior to joining DPPA Headquarters in New York, she served in DPPA's liaison office in Bangkok, and previously with UNESCO and Nesta, a national innovation foundation.
