Eira Fallen and Ilka Essig
Eira Fallen:
Eira is a training officer currently working for the Peace and Security Hub at the UNSSC. She manages the Hub’s portfolios on Conflict Analysis, Conflict Sensitivity as well as the work on the Women, Peace & Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace & Security (YPS) agendas. Eira joined the UN in 2019 with her first duty station in Bamako, Mali. She has previously held positions within government agencies, and civil society.
Ilka Essig:
Ilka is currently working as a Carlo-Schmid-Fellow with the UNSSC’s Peace and Security Hub focusing on Youth, Peace and Security, Conflict Sensitivity and Conflict Analysis. As a scout and young peacebuilder, she strives towards leaving the world a little bit better than she found it and strongly believes that young people play a crucial role in building peace. Ilka holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Karlshochschule International University in Germany.
