Alberto Cremonesi
Alberto has over twenty years of global experience in designing and implementing sustainability strategies, driving social impact, developing impact measurement systems and managing innovation. After beginning his professional career at the United Nations (UN) in New York, Alberto joined a philanthropic foundation in India; founded an organization supporting vulnerable children in South India; and developed an incubation and investment initiative focused on environmental issues in Cambodia. He also co founded Impact Hub Phnom Penh in 2013 and served on the Board of Directors of the Impact Hub Global Network, one of the world’s largest platforms for entrepreneurial communities working to achieve large scale impact.
Alberto has led numerous initiatives related to sustainable development, public policy, entrepreneurship, environmental, social and governance practice, and access to education with international institutions such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the European Commission. He has also collaborated with major international foundations and organizations including the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), ACRA, and ICS Driver for Change.
He holds a Global Executive Master of Business Administration degree from IE Business School and a Master of Science degree in Economics and International Relations from the Postgraduate Schools of Economics and International Affairs. Since 2018, he has taught courses on sustainability, leadership, social impact, social entrepreneurship, systems thinking and innovation at IE University, where he also serves as Academic Director of the IE Sustainability Bootcamp.
