A set of free specialized peacekeeping-intelligence (PKI) courses designed for UN staff in peacekeeping missions, as well as staff soon to be deployed to a UN peacekeeping mission, as part of their pre-deployment preparation. The courses are also open for anyone with a personal interest in peacekeeping-intelligence.
Hosted on the UNSSC platform, these PKI courses were developed by the Peacekeeping-Intelligence Coordination Team (PICT) and its Peacekeeping-Intelligence Academy (PKIA), and UNSSC.
The PKI Campus provides a unique space for free and continuous learning on PKI. It is designed to support participants pre- and during deployment to peacekeeping missions to learn about the concept and implementation of PKI.
After registration, participants can complete courses at their own pace.
Each course offers a combination of readily digestible knowledge units (self-paced lessons) with activities that promote the consolidation of course key takeaways. Scenario-based learning exposes participants to examples, real-life challenges and tasks associated with PKI.
Additionally, course participants will be able to consolidate takeaways through reflective practices and interaction with other participants via discussion forums and other activities.
Participants will get a certificate for each course completed. The course certificate will be released upon successful completion of all lessons and activities set for the specific course.
The following online courses are available for free for UN and non-UN staff.
The PKI Fundamentals Part 1 is mandatory for all in-person PKI courses.
It is recommended to complete the PKI Fundamentals Part 1 before starting the online MPKI course.
All courses are cost free.
