Learning that moves for you and with you!

Experience the UN Amplify: Women's Leadership Accelerator - a dynamic, face-to-face leadership journey designed exclusively for women leaders across the UN, taking place in Geneva.

This two-day action-lab will focus on enhancing women’s interpersonal influence to ensure that as leaders they speak to ‘the heart’ of their audiences – translating into building skills to persuade, motivate and energize team members to get buy-in, engagement, and high performance.

The programme will be grounded in research and behavioural data, while offering tangible tools, peer collaboration and hands-on problem solving to strengthen real-world practice.

Take this opportunity to step away from the virtual space, and connect in person, as you amplify your leadership impact in uncertain times.

Introduction

The UN Amplify: Women's Leadership Accelerator is an immersive and action-oriented leadership learning experience designed for women leaders across the UN, offering participants the opportunity to step away from virtual spaces, to take a pause and engage in a face-to-face environment for two days.

The immersive learning experience has been conceptualised to bring the learning closer to participants by providing advanced leadership development in person and fostering strong regional communities of practice. This also promotes the creation of a dynamic environment for shared learning and opportunity for calibration, especially at a time when leaders across the UN are navigating heightened complexity, change and increased accountability.

Over the course of two days, the workshop in Geneva will enable participants to build a strong competency in using influence at the workplace – while being rooted in the realities of women in leadership positions.

Participants will deep dive into conceptual learning with a subject matter expert, collective problem-solving, and real-time application – with the objective of strengthening practical dimensions of leadership. The format of the programme has been concretised in a manner that allows increased personalised engagement with participants, and curated spaces for peer circles.

The programme builds on a decade-long legacy of the successful Leadership, Women, and the UN programme, by carefully leveraging the insights of our strong alumnae community, evolving leadership needs globally, as well as the systemic changes across the UN system.

Objectives

Participants will walk away energised with clarity, community and tangible tools to navigate complexity, as the programme aims to:

  • Provide an action lab experience to influence building with grounding in data, behaviour science, and leadership agility.
  • Equip participants with an advanced toolkit comprised of evidence-based tools and techniques, that can be immediately integrated into their leadership practice.
  • Foster peer-learning through dialogue, shared problem-solving, and simulation exercises rooted in real UN leadership contexts.
  • Enhance self-awareness through reflection tools, enabling leaders to identify personal blind spots that may affect influence and decision-making, and extend aligned approaches to organizational contexts.
Course methodology

The UN Amplify: Women's Leadership Accelerator has been designed around engagement-driven, experiential learning that combines the rigour of executive leadership development with the community of guided practice and reflection, through the following four-part learning flow over two-intensive days:

  1. Framing: Conceptual introduction to influence with a gender lens
  2. Learning: Expert-led thematic sessions and dynamic group exercises to build conceptual understanding.
  3. Simulation Lab: Facilitated practice spaces where participants apply frameworks and receive targeted feedback from peers and the programme team.
  4. Action Planning: Reflection and action-planning that convert insights into a concrete roadmap for workplace implementation.
