On 20 February, UNSSC senior learning managers, leading work in the areas of sustainable development, leadership and management, and peace and security, joined Deputy Director Silke Weinlich for a conversation on the critical role of learning in navigating uncertainty, strengthening resilience, and advancing the UN’s transformation.  

Part of the UN Transformation Webinar Series, this discussion offered practical guidance and insights drawn from their experience leading teams and initiatives to support UN staff across the globe. Our panelists shared insights on fostering adaptive leadership, prioritizing learning within UN 2.0, and how to maximize learning outcomes to drive meaningful impact on the ground.  

The session also highlighted key learning approaches including experiential learning, scenario-based training and the use of digital tools, while offering actionable recommendations for integrating learning into daily work. Finally, speakers emphasized the importance of curiosity, reflection, and continuous improvement in shaping a resilient and forward-thinking UN-workforce.
