Join fellow UN learning practitioners at the UN Learning Managers Forum (LMF) Connect in Geneva - a one-day, in-person workshop to connect, reflect, and explore adaptive strategies for navigating the complexity we face together. Through the lens of self-leadership, attendees will examine how the learning function can embrace uncertainty and lean on and strengthen a resilient community of peers.

Introduction

The UN Learning Managers Forum, convened by the UNSSC for over 28 years, is a professional development community of practice that brings together professionals responsible for learning, training, and staff development across UN agencies, funds, programmes, and other international organizations.

The forum fosters collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the learning community, driving innovation and advancing the learning agenda across the UN System.

As the UN and its partners operate in increasingly complex, fast-changing environments, the ability to continuously adapt and evolve is essential. To succeed, staff and leaders must be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindsets to navigate uncertainty while embracing innovation and collaboration. Learning and development play a central role in this mission.

In keeping with this evolving context, the inaugural UN LMF Connect 2025 offers a timely space for learning managers to pause, reflect, and co-create strategies for adapting learning delivery to the unprecedented pace of change. This focused gathering will foster peer connections, practical insights, and collaborative action planning, ensuring that learning continues to serve as a driver of agility and impact across the UN System.
