Course methodology
The individual subscription offers:
- A micro-learning experience characterized by small knowledge units (modules and micro-lessons) where participants consolidate and reflect on learnings through the creation of micro-content (multimodal forum replies, blog posts, etc.).
- Scenario-based learning exposing participants to the unique real-life UN challenges and tasks;
- Consolidation of takeaways through reflective practices and social learning to facilitate information exchange and peer-to-peer learning.
You can start at any time, choosing the learning components that best fit your needs. Complete the modules and activities at your own pace, and sign-up for upcoming new modules.
The Blue Line provides a structured, multi-reward learning experience. As you progress, you will earn badges and certificates that reflect the competencies and knowledge you have acquired in your learning journey. The individual subscription will allow you to opt between single modules, curated learning paths and, by completing 25 modules, achieve the Extended E-Certificate in Leadership and Management.
Course contents
By setting up the Individual Subscription, you will gain one-year access to 230+ modules and tools organized in different catalogues and learning paths:
- The Catalogue on Leadership and Management. A catalogue of modules and tools, firmly anchored in the UN System Leadership Framework, and covering different dimensions of leadership and management, including: leadership in the UN, people management, change management, innovation, programme implementation and resource management.
- The Catalogue on Data Analytics designed to enhance the ability of UN personnel to analyze, visualize, report and communicate data effectively. It is geared to those in research, analytics and reporting, as well as those who wish to expand their knowledge and ability to access, use, interpret and communicate data.
- The Catalogue on Evaluation Management designed to equip you with the full toolkit for effective evaluation management. From scoping and design to quality assurance and follow-up, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to manage evaluations that meet the highest international standards.
- The Catalogue of Free UN Courses and Tools. This is a continuously growing selection of free modules and tools designed in partnership with UN agencies and covering a broad range of topics of interest for the UN system, such as mental health, ethical leadership, artificial intelligence, and much more!
New modules and tools will be periodically released and made available to registered participants throughout 2026.
