Estefanía Ardila
Estefanía Ardila is a Senior Country Engagement Specialist at the NDC Partnership Support Unit. Her primary role is assisting governments across the LAC region in identifying their needs and mobilizing support to translate their climate and sustainable development goals into actions.
Prior to joining the Support Unit, Estefanía worked for six years with the government of Colombia. At the Ministry of Environment, she provided technical advisory in the establishment of Colombia’s results-based payments mechanisms to combat deforestation and led and contributed to key planning and policy making processes on behalf of the Minister and Deputy Minister. She also worked as an advisor to Colombia’s Forest and Carbon Monitoring System and has been engaged in the international reporting and technical analysis process for developing countries under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change since 2014.
Estefanía has a background in Environmental Engineering from La Salle University in Colombia. She also holds a Masters degree on Environmental Management and Development from the Australian National University.
