On 18 October 2022, the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) will host a virtual Coffee Hour at the Berlin Climate and Security Conference 2022 to foster multi-stakeholder dialogue aimed at addressing the interlinkages between climate change, conflict and food insecurity in the Karamoja Cluster encompassing vast border areas between Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan and Ethiopia.

During the Coffee hour various practitioners from FAO, IGAD CEWARN and Interpeace will share their strategies for conflict-sensitive and peace responsive programming as well as lessons learnt from strengthening food and nutrition security while addressing drivers of conflict and enhancing the capacity of communities to adapt to climate change.

Admission to the UNSSC Coffee Hour at the Berlin Climate and Security Conference 2022 is free.
