The aim of this session is to discuss how data can support integrated analysis of and response to climate-related security risks. In particular, this session will explore what the most relevant data for climate security is and how it can inform political decision making aimed at sustaining peace, drawing on practitioners experiences from the Arab region. The session will facilitate a dialogue between environmental data experts and representatives from the political pillar of the United Nations, addressing questions on how to ensure integrated programming that is both conflict-sensitive and climate-informed.
