Zubair Shahid

Zubair Shahid (Pakistan) has been serving the UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development as an Associate Fellow, since November 2020. Prior to joining the UNSSC, he has served in various research and programming roles in international organizations including the World Bank, UNESCO, UNRISD, and the Global Development Network. He has also taught graduate courses in economics and social policy as part of the Joint European Masters Program in Comparative Local Development at the University of Trento, Italy. He holds a PhD in Development Economics, a Masters in Public Policy, and an undergraduate degree in Finance. His continuing areas of
engagement include governance, public finance, social policy, education and human capital development.
