Prof. John Antonakis
John Antonakis is Professor of Organizational Behaviour in the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. His research is currently focused on charisma, predictors of leadership, as well as on research methods.
He has published articles in many prestigious journals including Science, Nature Human Behaviour, Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Harvard Business Review, among many others. He has also published four books, and dozens of book chapters and conferences proceedings. And an upcoming book on Charisma! Prof. Antonakis is the former Editor in Chief of The Leadership Quarterly; and he is an elected fellow of the Academy of Management, the Association for Psychological Science, and The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
His research is regularly quoted in the press and various media outlets including the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Guardian, NEWSWEEK, TIME, BBC News, The Economist, Forbes, The New Yorker, Fast Company and many news sources, including TV and Radio.
John Antonakis is of Swiss, Greek, and South-African nationality. He received his Ph.D. from Walden University in Applied Management and Decision Sciences specializing in the psychometrics of leadership. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology at Yale University focusing on leader development and expertise.
