Per Nordlund
Per Nordlund is Programme Director at the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation covering Agenda 2030, multilateralism, and the renewal of the UN system. With 25 years of experience from bilateral and intergovernmental work in the areas of democracy, human rights and governance, Per has extensive experience from development work and international organisations in implementing, advisory and managerial capacities.
His field experience includes postings to Zimbabwe and Cambodia, and extensive in-country work primarily in Africa over a 20-year period. Before joining the Foundation, Per represented Sweden as co-chair, together with Kenya, for the Effective Institutions Platform, and served as Sweden’s representative on the OECD DACs Network on Governance (Govnet). Per holds a PhD in Political Science from Uppsala University, and has experience from research and teaching as an Associate Professor in political science and development studies at Uppsala University.
