Juan Hoffmaister

Mr. Juan Hoffmaister is the Multilateral Governance Manager in the Office of Governance Affairs at the Green Climate Fund (GCF). He leads the engagement between the Fund and the UNFCCC and other strategic relationships, including the engagement with other multilateral funds. Prior to joining GCF, he has been engaged in multilateral governance in multiple roles, including for government as lead negotiator for developing countries for multiple chapters of the Paris Agreement, as well as academia and civil society.  He has also worked in academia and has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on adaptation finance and the use of development instruments for achieving climate co-benefits.
