Reaffirming our ties with Italy

We had the pleasure of welcoming Italy’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Emanuela C. Del Re, to our office in Turin yesterday.

H.E. Del Re and Mr. Javan, UNSSC Director, reaffirmed the strong ties between the Staff College and the country of Italy – as well as collaboration across various levels including the government, local authorities, universities and foundations.

Italy is a partner to UNSSC not just in terms of financial support but also in its commitment to supporting UN priorities and the Secretary General’s reforms. A number of critical areas were identified to enhance collaboration between both parties in the coming years.

Greater opportunities for collaboration between the three UN entities (ITC/ILO, UNICRI and UNSSC) in Turin were also discussed along with how the UN can further highlight its work and presence within the city.
