The UN Reflection Series is an interactive learning event facilitating knowledge sharing between UN staff members as well as government and civil society representatives, practitioners and renowned experts in international development cooperation, as well as high-level representatives of the United Nations in an informal setting, bridging sustainable development academic research and policy. Previous Reflection Series covered the New Global Development Partnership as well as Development Cooperation, Policy Advice and Middle Income Countries.
The format of the UN Reflection Series includes keynote speeches, panel discussions, as well as clinics with academics and practitioners presenting current research and policy work, which are compiled and published as Conference Proceedings. Past speakers and authors include Prof. Thomas Weiss (The City University of New York), Thomas Christensen (UN Office for Partnerships), Susan Myers (UN Foundation), Dr. Christoph Beier (GIZ), Kanni Wignaraja (UN Development Operations Coordination Office), Dr. Cyrill Nunn (German Federal Office), and Dr. Imme Scholz (German Development Institute).
The third UN Reflection Series is planned for 2018 in cooperation with the German Development Institute (GDI) in Bonn, Germany.
