Introduction

This gathering is open to all those responsible for managing projects, programmes and portfolios in UN agencies, funds and programmes as well as other international organizations.

To deliver on their mandate effectively and thrive in complex, rapidly changing environments, the UN and international organizations must equip and empower their associates and leaders with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to navigate these complexities effectively.

The 2025 Project Managers Forum will be a virtual event, open to all those responsible for managing projects in UN agencies, funds and programmes as well as other international organizations, with the aim of fostering a spirit of collaboration and partnership within the project management community. 

Objectives

The Project Managers Forum will: 

  1. Expose you to novel, innovative approaches to project management, with a focus on making the transition from both within and outside the UN system; 
  2. Serve as a space to exchange project management practices and face common challenges.
  3. Provide you with the opportunity to network and collaborate with colleagues from across the UN System and beyond.
Course methodology

This year's Project Managers Forum will have a virtual format. The virtual sessions will take place over three half-days, and will include keynote speakers, topical presentations, case studies, panel discussions, and networking with colleagues from across the project managers community in the UN system.

Project Managers Forum aims to offer an engaging platform for participants to collaborate, share best practices, and explore innovative project management methodologies tailored to the unique challenges faced within the UN context.
