The course provides participants with hands-on practice, tools and techniques for converting existing face-to-face instructor-led training into effective online instructor-led and self-paced courses. It teaches people how to design and facilitate engaging and collaborative learning experiences in virtual classroom environments using widely available solutions.
This five-week online workshop focuses on how to rapidly convert face-to-face courses into e-learning formats. It offers participants approaches, methods, tools, tips and techniques to do so. This programme is particularly useful for trainers and specialists involved in the delivery of training workshops who, due to the pandemic, are confronted with uncertainty and face serious challenges in delivering face-to-face courses. Participants will be introduced to rapid conversion tools, tips and techniques, best practices and recommended approaches to engage and support online learners. They will learn to use several proven quality and accessibility frameworks to guide their conversion and design efforts.

The course will take five weeks with two webinar sessions per week, Mondays and Thursdays, 2:00 - 4:00 PM Rome time. Each week, participants will go through a number of assigned modules and reading materials, complete weekly assignments and exercises, and participate in discussion forums to share experiences, questions and comments, as well as receive feedback from the instructors.
The webinar sessions will be conducted through the Zoom web conferencing platform. Course activities and the weekly discussion forum will be available on the UNKampus, UNSSC’s Learning Platform.
Approximate time commitment to fully participate in this course (completing pre-work, attending webinars, forum discussions, etc.) is 6-8 hours per week (2-4 hours preparation + 4 hours of webinars).

Week 4: Deploying courses in Moodle and Facilitating Instructor-led Online Courses
Week 5: Facilitating Instructor-led Online Courses and Evaluating Learning and Training
