Annual Report 2019

The United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) is a centre of excellence playing an integral role in putting learning and training at the service of UN system mandates to create a more sustainable, just and equitable world.

We remain committed to empowering UN staff and partners by fostering critical thinking and creative problem solving among participants from civil society, academia, the private sector, and other actors. Our goal is to deliver knowledge to equip them to advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, build and sustain peace and pursue management reform.

In 2019 over 26,500 people from all over the world benefited from UNSSC online and face-to-face trainings, and we are proud to say that 96 per cent of them had a positive learning experience and would recommend the programmes they took to others.

2019 was also a year of dynamic and mutually enriching partnerships with academic entities such as IE School of Global and Public Affairs (Spain) and the University of Stellenbosch Business School (South Africa), which UNSSC has supported in developing world-class programmes.

While waiting for the relaunch of our face-to-face offerings, UNSSC has remained focused on serving the learning needs of UN personnel and partners through a wide array of online learning solutions.
