Competency Definition: Accomplishes work objectives; Develops self and staff to their highest
potential in support of IFAD goals.
Key Indicators: Seeks and accepts guidance and feedback on his/her own performance and acts continuously
to improve that performance; Sets performance goals and identifies measures for evaluating
goal achievement, adjusting goals according to major changes; Provides timely, appropriate feedback;
Creates an opportunity for staff to grow and develop their knowledge and competencies in order to attain
excellent standards of performance.
SMS Alignment: Creates an enabling environment; Works with staff to establish realistic
performance expectations; Gives and expects frequent constructive feedback; Provides coaching as required.
