UN Fellows: Tools for
Development Cooperation

Course description

The fellowship programme aims to enhance the effectiveness of development aid in selected developing countries through the involvement of UN Fellows. In the framework of the UNSSC commitment to foster coherence in orientation processes across the UN system, the College offers a specific workshop to support the fellowship initiative: “UN Fellows: Tools for Development Cooperation”.

This face-to-face course is organized, in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), on an annual basis at the premises of the UN residential campus in Turin (Italy).

Course Objectives

  • Providing participants an opportunity to acquire and practise the skills and knowledge necessary to understand the UN system and the main challenges faced by development co-operation aid;
  • Strengthening participants skills in project cycle management, with particular emphasis on the particularities of development-cooperation projects;
  • Assisting UN Fellows in establishing the professional contacts necessary to enable them to succeed in the performance of their duties.
