EIA course features

Course Fee: USD 1,000 per person

Target audience: Approximately 30 staff of the UN and UN affiliated organizations working in training, learning and staff development and who are responsible for managing and/or implementing evaluation of learning and training interventions.

Facilitators: The course is facilitated by staff of the UNSSC and the ROI Institute.

Learning objectives: As a result of the course, participants will be able to understand and thus:

  • Describe the concept of evaluation in the UN System
  • Identify the drivers for ROI accountability
  • Develop program objectives at different levels
  • Identify at least four ways to collect data
  • Describe at least three ways to isolate the effects of a program
  • Describe at least three ways to convert data to monetary values
  • Identify all costs of a program
  • Calculate ROI, given benefits and costs
  • Identify intangible measures
  • Plan a follow-up evaluation for one of their programs
  • Describe the ten steps in the ROI methodology
