Course Fee: USD 1,000 per person
Target audience: Approximately 30 staff of the UN and UN affiliated organizations working in training, learning and staff development and who are responsible for managing and/or implementing evaluation of learning and training interventions.
Facilitators: The course is facilitated by staff of the UNSSC and the ROI Institute.
Learning objectives: As a result of the course, participants will be able to understand and thus:
- Describe the concept of evaluation in the UN System
- Identify the drivers for ROI accountability
- Develop program objectives at different levels
- Identify at least four ways to collect data
- Describe at least three ways to isolate the effects of a program
- Describe at least three ways to convert data to monetary values
- Identify all costs of a program
- Calculate ROI, given benefits and costs
- Identify intangible measures
- Plan a follow-up evaluation for one of their programs
- Describe the ten steps in the ROI methodology
