Carlos Lopes Director |
| Mr. Lopes career at the UN started in 1988. Prior to be appointed Director of the Staff College, in October 2007, he occupied several managerial positions, including UN Resident Coordinator in Zimbabwe and Brazil, head of Policy for UNDP and Assistant Secretary General and Political Director in the Office of the UN Secretary General. He holds a PhD from the University of Paris 1, in History. Mr. Lopes is also the Executive Director of Unitar. | |

Malcolm Goodale Head, Development Cooperation - RCS Support |
| Mr. Goodale has over 30 years' experience as a teacher, trainer, instructional designer and faciliator - 25 of those years with the UN! He has also written educational materials and two of his books are still in print: "The Language of Meetings" and "Professional Presentations". He is currently Programme Head of the Development Cooperation: Resident Coordinator System Learning Support at the UNSSC. | |

Svenja Korth Head, Peace & Security Programme |
| Ms. Korth served with UNDP in Namibia, Equatorial Guinea, Suriname and Nicaragua prior to joining UNSSC in 1998. Her experience lies in managing projects and delivering training sessions, in the area of peace & security. She works and trains in English, Spanish & French. Ms Korth holds a BA from the University of London (UK) and a MA in Applied Anthropology from The American University, Washington DC (USA). | |

Elisa Pontini Resource Mobilization Officer, Associate Collaborator |
| Involved in managing relationships with UNSSC donors. Coordinates the preparation of funding proposals and reports to donors. Assists in the elaboration of budgets for projects benefitting from external funding. Ensures institutional memory with regards to donor relations. | |

| Participating in the SSAFE TOTs as facilitator, coordinating the updating of the training materials of the CPAA and SSAFE projects, liaising with national counterparts to organise practical field trainings, preparing draft fund raising documents and progress reports for local funding sources and for fund raising, compiling and preparing necessary conflict prevention training materials required for country specific workshops. | |

Paolo Ceratto Deputy Director, Administration |
| From May 2003 Paolo Ceratto leads UNSSC Administrative & Management division as D/D. Prior to that he worked with ITC-ILO and UNSCP (Turin), UNSO (New York), UNDP (Khartoum), UNV (Geneva) and UNDP (Lagos) in different capacities. Before joining the UN in 1981, he also worked in the private sector (Los Angeles and Caracas) and for the Italian Government (Rome). He holds a Masters Degree with distinction in Business Administration from the American Graduate School of International Management (Glendale, Az, USA). | |

Mariama Daramy-Lewis Head, Learning and Training Services Programme |
| Ms. Daramy-Lewis holds an MSc in Human Resources from the Fordham Univ., NY (USA) and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Executive Leadership at Fordham. Prior to joining the UNSSC management team, she held appointments at IFAD and UNDP in HR focussing on performance management. In addition, at UNDP she coordinated the UN Resident Coordinator Assessment Centre, Management Development Centre and was Programme Manager, TICAD, UNDP. | |

| Prior to joining the UN system in 1994, Mr. Seav was a public accountant in Montreal and Washington. Mr. Seav is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner and has been with UNSSC since April 2002. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University (Montreal, Canada). | |

| Mr. Zaccaria joined the College in 1997 and he is currently managing the information & communication technology unit. Although holding an academic background in the area of internet applications and, in particular, its use for education and training, he is interested in working in all areas of ICT. Mr. Zaccaria believes that changes in our life-style through more extensive use of computer facilities have just begun. | |
